Board welcomes new government’s housing focus

The new coalition government’s commitment to building homes and tackling housing affordability are crucial initiatives, and the Board is encouraging Ministers to work closely with councils, iwi and housing organisations. The key to solving the housing crisis — particularly in Auckland — is not only building more homes, but ensuring there is sufficient affordable homes and sufficient social housing.
